This policy explains how our pre-installation survey, installation and on-site service work for Zevpoint AC chargers, so that you know what to expect at every step. The price of each service is shown when you book on our Installation Request page.
We deliver, install and service our chargers in every city across India.
1. Pre-Installation Survey
- Our technician visits your site to check that it is ready for your charger, including the cable route, the available electrical load and the distance from your switchboard. You then receive a report with a customised installation estimate.
- Our team will get in touch within 24–48 hours of your payment to arrange a date and time that suits you.
- We kindly request safe and clear access to the site on the day of the visit, so that the technician can inspect the area properly.
- The recommendations and estimate in the report are based on the conditions found on site. The final scope and cost of the installation may vary accordingly.
- The survey fee covers the site assessment and the report. It is a separate service and is not adjusted against, deducted from or credited towards the price of a charger, an installation or any other product.
- Should you need to cancel, the survey fee is refunded in full when you let us know at least 48 hours before the scheduled visit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the visit may incur charges.
2. Installation
- The installation service charge (inclusive of 18% GST) covers mounting the charger, fitting its MCB and surge protection device, and testing and commissioning the charger.
- Cable-laying labour is included for up to 10 metres. Beyond 10 metres, labour is charged per metre at the rate shown at the time of booking or in your survey report.
- Cable material is not included. Add-ons such as cable, MCB, surge protection device and enclosure are purchased separately and are delivered to you ahead of the visit.
- Our team will get in touch within 24–48 hours of your payment to schedule the installation at a mutually convenient time.
- Should you need to cancel, the installation fee is refunded in full when you let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur charges.
- Add-on items (surge protection devices, MCBs, cables and cabling labour) cannot be cancelled or returned once they have been shipped.
3. Before Your Installation
To help the visit go smoothly, we request that the following be arranged in advance:
- The charger's position, finalised before the installation visit. If the position changes after the survey, a fresh visit may be required.
- Access to the premises, the meter room and the cable route on the day, with someone present to assist our team.
- Permission (NOC) from your society or building, where the charger or its cable passes through common areas.
- Any increase in sanctioned load, change of phase or new electricity connection, applied for with your electricity distribution company before the installation. We are glad to share the survey report and guide you through it; the application is made in your name.
- Civil work along the cable route beyond the standard scope, such as trenching and making good, and a canopy where the charger is mounted outdoors and exposed to direct rain.
4. On-Site Service and Repairs
- If your charger needs attention, please raise a request on our Service Request page or contact our support team. We first try to diagnose and resolve the issue remotely, over a call or video, which is often the quickest way to get you charging again.
- Where a visit is needed, we will arrange one. Any fault in the charger, or in a product supplied by Zevpoint, is attended to in line with our Warranty Policy.
- Many charging interruptions originate on the power-supply side rather than in the charger, for example in the building wiring, the distribution board or MCB, earthing, voltage fluctuations or the electricity supply itself. These fall outside the scope of our product warranty and service. We will gladly guide you where we can, and any assistance with such issues is offered at Zevpoint's discretion. We recommend that they be checked by your electrician or your electricity distribution company.
- A visit charge applies to visits for chargers that are out of warranty, and to visits where the issue is found to be outside the scope of the warranty, including power-supply-side issues.
- If a repair outside the warranty is needed, we will share its cost with you for approval before carrying out the work.
5. Payments
- Materials, labour and service charges beyond the booked service are paid through a Zevpoint payment link. Our technicians do not collect cash or payments on Zevpoint's behalf.
6. Safe Use of Your Charger
- Please connect the charger to the mains supply only, and never to an inverter or generator as a backup.
- Once commissioned, the charger should be moved, opened or rewired only by a Zevpoint-authorised technician.
- Please keep the charger and its cable clear of water spray, heat sources and children, and avoid cleaning it with solvents or pressure water.
7. Liability
- Our team takes every reasonable precaution during surveys, installations and service visits. Zevpoint is not liable for damage or loss that may occur during or after these visits.
We are always happy to help. For any question about a survey, an installation or a service visit, please write to us at support@zevpoint.com.
